Gyoki is an ceremony that recalls Honen Shonin(1133-1212) the founder of the Jodo sect of Buddhism. Buddhist devotional is done in Zojoji Temple of the Tokyo Minato Ward every year. In addition, the parade of colorful attire children, the monks, and believers can be viewed, and Bugaku (ancient court music and dance) can be seen. April, 2005 |
