SUMADERA Temple


The main hall of Sumadera Temple

Sumadera Temple is in Suma, Kobe (the largest port city of west Japan). It was built in 866 by the edict of Emperor Kohkoh. After Ichinotani Battle (1184), this temple became the Heike clan's family temple. Sumadera Temple has some things and places related to Lord Atsumori as follows.
